Document to Data Management Services

"We strive to create solutions that meet our customers needs and exceed their expectations."

Document to Data Management Systems (D2D) specializes in scanning, data conversion, and data warehousing turning paper claims - and any attachments - into images and electronic files. Those files are converted into EDI standard files then transmitted back to you and/or your designated clearinghouse electronically.

D2D scans documents using industry standard digital imaging equipment. At this time, D2D is equipped to process and output 28,000 document scans per day. Because ABS takes claim accountability as seriously as you do, our employees keep an audit trail of all claim processing in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

D2D interfaces with many formats and vendors, and exceeds HIPAA minimum requirements to protect confidential information and our network from viruses and unauthorized use. ABS also requires individual passwords, and secures data by utilizing data encryption and user authentication by digital certificate.

Security
ABS' security measures exceed HIPAA minimum requirements to protect confidential information and our network from viruses and unauthorized use. Electronic files containing Protected Health Information (PHI) or individually identifiable information distributed outside ABS are encrypted and/or password protected, or sent via secure transmission. E-mails sent to outside parties are encrypted or password protected if they contain PHI.

ABS also requires individual passwords, and secures data by utilizing data encryption and user authentication by digital certificate. Any employee of ABS will execute a signed confidentiality agreement prior to the release of electronic files to external parties.

When the claims process is complete, typically all paper claims are destroyed after 30 days on a rotating basis unless a client requests otherwise. ABS can provide alternative storage solutions such as an archive of all images on CD-R or DVD as an optional service.

Claim Tracking/Quality Assurance
Quality Assurance starts as soon as your files are received. The file is imported into ABS' claim tracking/shipment accounting system. Not only does this system capture the courier tracking number and claim counts, it also accepts additional tracking information such as exceptions, rejections (with standard reason codes), and duplicate claim notifications. Because ABS takes claim accountability as seriously as you do, we are prepared to track claims as specifically as you require. Our infrastructure and employees keep an audit trail of all claims processing in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Customization
We realize every company conducts business differently and has unique needs. Our 20+ years of EDI claims experience allows us to handle any special requests: multiple formats, special procedures, and new technologies integrating with our existing infrastructure. ABS' programming staff will provide you with customized service delivered with a smile.

Pricing
A nominal set-up fee based on individual needs and claims business rules, in addition to a flat rate per processed claim will be assessed along with any storage fees.
